Make a simple art project. The craft usually takes 20-30 minutes. All materials supplied. No registration. No fee.
Suburban Mosaic Book Discussion and Craft (ages 8-10)
Wednesday, May 7 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Youth Services Craft Room
Suburban Mosaic is a community-wide initiative to encourage reading specific titles confronting social issues. Students will receive a copy of Lowji Discovers America by Candace Fleming at registration and must read it before the program. Discuss the book and make a project with colored rice. This program is sponsored by a grant from Target Corporation. Register by April 16. No fee.
Creating a Presentation (ages 9-14)
Saturday, May 10 10-11 a.m.
YS Computer Lab
Using Microsoft PowerPoint, students will practice creating a presentation which will then be edited by adding WordArt, clip art and animations; applying transitions; changing backgrounds; and adding, sorting or deleting slides. Students will also learn how to save and print handouts and slides and how to view or show their presentation.
Sensational Saturday (ages 3-14)

Drop in to make a simple craft. All materials supplied. Children ages 3-5 should be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. No registration. No fee.
